500 Miles. 6 Cities. 2 Countries. 1 Mission.
This summer, a lone cyclist, Sandy Powell from Murphy Geospatial, will take on an impressive 500-mile charity bike ride—from Cork to Kilcullen to Dublin, then crossing the sea to cycle from Holyhead through Manchester and Birmingham to Watford, visiting each of our UK & Ireland offices along the way.
Why is he riding?
He’s pedalling with a purpose to raise vital funds for two incredible causes:
- Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin – Supporting sick children and their families through life-saving care and services in Ireland.
- Centrepoint – Working to end youth homelessness in the UK.
But that’s not all.
Alongside fundraising, he’s also riding to:
- Promote the Geospatial Sector – shining a light on our industry’s vital work in shaping the world around us.
- Raise awareness of hidden disabilities – and celebrate the strengths and talents of those living with them.
- Challenge assumptions around physical and mental limitations – proving that barriers can be overcome with determination and support.
- Champion education and skills development – calling for greater awareness and pathways into geospatial careers.
He’s not just cycling for charity—he’s cycling for change.
Follow the journey, support the cause, and help make an impact that goes far beyond the road.
