Jennifer takes on the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Women and Children First
At Murphy Geospatial, we are committed to helping our community when we can, and we have an incredible team representing our company. We are pleased to announce that our Senior Administrator, Jennifer Ranscombe will be running this year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon, which is due to take place on 10th October.
Jennifer is a keen runner and is always up for a challenge, so we are certain that she will do a brilliant job. She will be raising money for Women and Children First – a fantastic organisation which works to help disadvantaged communities overcome treatable diseases and issues in pregnancy. With the help of charitable donations and sponsored events, they hope to transform the lives of over 1 million women and children by the end of 2021.
The Royal Parks follows a stunning route around central London.
Capturing some of the capital’s most famous landmarks. The track also weaves in
and out of London’s eight Royal Parks.
We could not be prouder of Jennifer’s dedication and courage to take on
her first long-distance run since 2018 – all for a brilliant cause! We will be
cheering her on from the sidelines and encouraging as many donations as
possible to make a difference. She is hoping to kick off her run with £500 in
donations for the charity.
“I’m so excited to
run the Royal Parks Marathon, although I am a little nervous! It’s my first
long-distance run since the London Marathon in 2018, so it’s definitely going
to be a challenge. I’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone for donating, this
charity means a lot to me and we’re right on track to achieving my goal of
raising £500.” – Jennifer Ranscombe
