Director of Construction Michael Durnin to Represent Murphy Geospatial at bauma 2022

At Murphy Geospatial, we’re set on being a part of the future of construction, supporting the developments making it safer, smarter and more secure than ever before. When we’re not conducting vital research for our clients or driving the industry forward with digitalisation, we can often be found engaging with the wider construction community.

That’s why our Director of Construction Michael Durnin will be attending this year’s leading construction conference bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany. Networking and collaboration is key to the success of both Murphy Geospatial and the international construction industry as a whole. We’re keen to continue making productive connections – and touching base with respected colleagues – in new parts of the world.

We look forward to bauma, a conference that presents and celebrates the latest innovations in construction and building materials. At one of the world’s leading trade fairs, we can find the answers to what’s driving this industry forward and where we might find ourselves in the near future. With 3000 exhibitors from 58 countries across the globe, the team at Murphy Geospatial can’t wait to get stuck in. Taking place over a full week from 24-30th October 2022, the five key topics for this year’s bauma conference include: construction methods of tomorrow; the way to autonomous machines; sustainable and efficient mining; digital construction sites; and the route to zero emissions.

Michael, our Director of Construction, has been working in the survey and construction industry for over 20 years across Ireland, the UK and the US. His expertise lies in digital construction, so it will be fascinating for him to see how bauma will approach its focus of digitalisation at this year’s event. Construction is currently one of the least digitised of the world’s largest sectors, but with the huge potential for reducing costs and enhancing sustainability, this is something we’re eager to drive forward.

If you’re attending the bauma 2022 conference and would like to find out more about Murphy Geospatial and the future of digital construction, we’ll be there with plenty of insights to offer.
